funky mcfunkster

I haven't been updating much here lately because
I'm in this weird funk.
I don't know where else to get my thoughts out though
because sometimes journaling isn't enough.

It's so hard to keep positive lately.
This wall just keeps coming up.
I try and shake it off and remind myself R&R is on the way.
But so much has to happen before then
and it feels so far out of reach.
I just wish I had one friend who lived close to me
going through a deployment.
Just one.

I've been sick for about 4 days now with an
enormous ulcer in my throat.
Nice and graphic for you, you're welcome.
Well it's painful and
I'm over it.
If I have to drink another meal I might
just..
drink another meal because
that's my only choice.

I haven't been able to talk with Mr much lately because
Iraq hates Skype and the internet in general.
That's the conclusion I've come to.

Summer school started and I had to miss two days
due to this awesome ulcer. which in reality is like missing 6 days because
each class is 3.5 hours long.
awesome, amazing and stupendously wonderful.
right?

My posts have been choppy and awkward lately
and I'm attributing it to this funky mcfunkster that I'm in.
Do bear with me and pray for me.
Deployment's are no slice of yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

nope.

On a completely unrelated note
my couch smells like skunk and
there's no telling why.

  3. Hi darling! I'm so sorry to hear you're down. My best friend is going through the same thing right now with her fiance. I can't begin to pretend I know what you're going through, but do know I'm praying for you and that God is so very faithful! I hope your ulcer and everything else go away very soon!!
    Lots of love!!

  4. Aw I'm so sorry about your throat! How painful. Now I feel like I don't have an excuse to be in a funk (because I've been in a BIG one for the past few weeks). My posts keep dwindling/getting choppy as well. Maybe we can help each other out of it? I wish you a speedy recovery and lots of husband internet time. Hugs!!

  5. I just want to give you a big hug!!! long distance is hard, I know from experience but what yall do.... gosh girl I give you credit! it will make you stronger. that I know.

on a totally separate note? I was watching the Today show this morning and they were talking about how Delta Airlines was getting a lot of backlash because they were charging the military like $400 to check their big, big bags!!!! I thought of you. isn't that funny how our blogging community works? I immediately thought of you :). Luckily, Delta got rid of that ridiculous rule and now it’s free for them. :)
