Welcome, October

I started last year's October post with the same title. I'm so original.

As of today, I have officially worn sweats, drank hot chocolate, burned Fall candles, and purchased a gourd. It's safe to say that Fall has landed in our corner of town.

I thoroughly enjoy this time of year now that I don't have school. I never understood why everybody loved Fall so passionately, but now I do. It's fabulous.

Also, hazelnut chai's are my jam right now. Not so great for your health, but sometimes that's a sacrifice I'm willing to take.

adios winter

February already? I swear winter came and went faster than it's ever done before. Can't say I'm upset about it. We've definitely had our share of cold winter days..but it's been bright and sunny for the most part, and our front door is wide open for a majority of the day.

I've been pretty lazy in terms of decorating for Valentine's Day, but I feel like I might gain a little motivation this weekend. I cut a few paper hearts and now I need to dig in the V.Day Box for last year's goodies. OH, and my blogging mojo might be back for good...feels good to pop in daily, if for no one other than myself to read and connect with my creative juices.

Happy February to you :)

spring has sprung

hey friends!
i've been a little m.i.a. because i've been out enjoying springtime.
this weather has made me quite a happy gal lately.
i much prefer warm weather to cold.
i love keeping my backdoor open to feel the afternoon sun shine in, and
getting to decorate my house for spring is the absolute best.

the flowers were from the flower girl in my wedding and the tin can was part of the
centerpiece arrangement from my cousin's wedding. the leaf dish
and owl soap were a surprise gift from a sweet friend of mine one day at school.

i love walking around school and finding fun little pictures like these :) the flower
petals on the walkway were SO pretty in person, i wished that i had more
than my iPhone to get that picture because it really doesn't do it any kind of justice.

i put those plants in pots all on my own, i was so excited.
now my mission is to keep them alive.
the other little pile of fun decor makes me smile everytime
i walk by it in my house :)

happy spring!
